dc.description.abstract | Recently, the usage of the glass bottle in our country has increased and became a great portion of waste. Most of these glass bottles are recyclable and can be reused if they remain intact. Due to the properties of the glass, the glass bottles are easy to break and crack if there are no proper systems in the recycle bin to prevent the glass bottles crush. In this project, a glass bottle recyeling bin was designed and modeled. This recycling bin can be used to collect the reusable glass bottle. Besides this, the recyele bin was embedded with the break-proof mechanism which can prevent the glass bottle from being crushed or fractured when it is thrown into the bin. The design was developed by using Solidworks. A scale down model was fabricated to optimize the design by a series of experimental testing. | |
