The objectives were to identify current industry trends in skills and competencies through surveys of USM alumni who participated in Lean Yellow Belt training between 2013 and 2022 and to analyze the factors influencing employability among fresh graduates using SigmaZone software. The research utilized a survey questionnaire distributed to USM alumni who had completed Lean Yellow Belt training during the specified period. The survey sought to gather data on the perceived impact of the training on employability and job performance. Additionally, it aimed to identify the current trends in skills and competencies required in the industry. The collected data from the 122 respondents were analyzed using statistical analysis software of SigmaZone, particularly SPC XL to identify factors influencing employability rates among fresh graduate’s and ensuring the effectiveness of the trainings. The analysis encompassed various variables such as demographic information, training duration, job search duration, and perceived effectiveness of the Lean Yellow Belt training. The findings of this study will provide insights into the current industry requirements for skills and competencies as identified by USM alumni who have completed Lean Yellow Belt training. The analysis of factors affecting employability rates among fresh graduates will also shed light on the effectiveness of Lean Yellow Belt training in enhancing job prospects. This research contributes to the existing body of knowledge by bridging the gap between Lean Yellow Belt training and employability outcomes as it provides valuable insights for universities, training institutions, and industries seeking to enhance graduates' employability and align their skills with industry needs.
