dc.description.abstractThe Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) is widely used in Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) application nowadays. The CIM used in order to control the FMS devices by using computer software. The implementation of the CIM in this project started with mastering commands in robotic devices which is needed due to time minimization in assembly a product. The MATLAB software is integrated with the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) device with the appropriate programming. The data communication concept is useful during the integration process. In order to achieve this, the appropriate programming must be created. As for laboratory results, the integration system cannot be fulfilled due to non-appropriate programming on MATLAB and there were some errors occurred in CX Programmer work. As a conclusion, the several tasks were achieved and some were not. The time minimization was achieved while the whole system of integration was having some failure due to errors and wrong "tools applied occurred in MATLAB and CX Programmer.
