Abstract
Use of energy in daily life is extremely important at now. This is because in
mostly daily activity , we relate closely with use of energy. Energy resource in
Malaysia is like petroleum , hydroelectric and others all is broadly used . But with
petroleum's product decrease as resource that cannot be renewed and will experience
following decrease, expected that Malaysia will run out of petroleum energy saving in
20 until 30 years more if its use is out of control ( 1992 , Hall ) . Proper step to
overcome this problem is by developing the energy system that can be renewed such as
biomass energy , wave , condition pair ebb seawater , light , earth heat , water , air and
others .
For this project , system biomass energy supply design that exists such as heat
changer, generation's pack, the divider twirl, gas and rotameter need a little alteration to
produce quality gas and able commercialized. Experiment quantitatively and quality
must be implemented and analysed to prove system that is designed have specification
that is determined . System that under being closed uses flow gas had applied for long ,
but for this times this project will try to do the experiment uses gas of flow that under
being opened .
A design of this suction inducedraft gasifier have been made and fabricated. The
gasifier were fixed to swirl burner. A qualitative experiment is carried out to ensure that
the produced gas from the gasifier can burn or not. The produced gas can burn itself
about 1 hour and the flowrate of the blower is 740 l/min that include dissolve gases and
oxygen.
