The I-Kaboom project focuses on the development and application of smart crop protection technology utilizing IoT integration and process optimization to repel monkeys and birds. This non-lethal technique employs acoustic disturbance through controlled explosions, causing discomfort to pests via high-frequency and highdecibel noise. The design of I-Kaboom is inspired by European bird deterrent systems like the Zon EL08 Electronic Gas Cannon [1], which is programmable to fire bursts at set intervals using a 12V battery and propane or butane cylinders. The gas cannon's 360- degree rotating tripod enhances its effectiveness by altering the firing direction after each explosion. This innovative approach aims to improve agricultural yield and efficiency by safeguarding crops from pest damage without harming the animals.
