dc.description.abstractThe study explores the significance of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) in achieving organizational sustainability (OS) by examining its impact on the four elements of sustainability: human, social, economic, and environmental. The study adopts a quantitative approach by using a survey and gathers data from LSS Yellow Belt from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Statistical tests, including ANOVA and t-tests, determine mean values, standard deviations, p-values, and F-values. One notable aspect of this study is its incorporation of human sustainability into the traditional Triple Bottom Line (TBL) framework. The findings reveal that human sustainability is the most influential element in measuring OS. All four elements of sustainability, as perceived by LSS practitioners, demonstrate positive impacts on OS. By recognizing the importance of human sustainability, organizations can effectively address the needs and well-being of their employees, ultimately enhancing overall sustainability. The study highlights the significant contributions of LSS in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, effective communication, and customer-centricity, all of which positively impact social sustainability. Economically, LSS enable organizations to achieve new project development, cost reduction, revenue generation, and increased productivity, supporting economic sustainability. The study emphasizes the role of LSS in environmental sustainability by promoting eco-friendly practices, waste reduction, and resource optimization. These findings contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the positive impacts of LSS on OS across all four elements. By integrating LSS principles and practices, organizations can enhance their performance, competitiveness, and adaptability in an ever-changing business landscape. The results have implications for practitioners, highlighting the significance of considering human sustainability within the TBL framework and emphasizing the value of LSS in achieving sustainable organizational outcomes.
