Emphasising volume estimate and slope analysis especially, the main goal of this study is to look at possible uses of drone technology in quarrying and mining activities. To map the whole area from the top down, detailed 3D models were produced using advanced tools such as Agisoft and Pix4D. These methods simplified stockpile amounts and hill tonnage computations, therefore maximising operational efficiency in mining activities. Moreover, drones were used to precisely capture the face's slopes, which Agisoft then exploited to create 3D models. The point clouds produced were sent to the Discontinuity Data Set Extractor (DSE) for the aim of producing stereonets and stressing discontinuities. Additional processing on these data sets was done using the CloudCompare application, which produced 3D models with clearly visible discontinuities. The results of this study also cover the challenges that drone users face including bad weather, complex flying rules, and limited battery life. These challenges draw attention to chances for future development in drone technology for mining uses, which affected the data accuracy. Notwithstanding the cited restrictions, the study shows that drone technology can increase the precision and efficiency of mining activities. Future research aiming to compare hand data collecting techniques with drone-based data would evaluate the correctness and dependability of the data acquired by drones. This comparison aims to boost the integration of drone technologies into mining operations, therefore establishing a new benchmark for the mining sector.
