dc.description.abstract | Solar radition is the energy emitted by sun in the form of electromagnetic waves .It is primary source of energy on earth and is responsible for suitable terrestrial condition for all life peninsular Malaysia which has a tropical climate received direct and beam raditiaon .The other unrenewable energy wont last longer .So without doubt , solar energy is the most alternative energy source for the future. Most of the solar heater which used in Malaysia are not installed at a optimum angle and doesn’t operate at optimumflow rate .It just depends on the slope of the roof . Because of this factor the solar radiation falls on the collector is not the maximum insolation .A peformance test on evacuated tube collector is conducted to observed the effect by changing the slope angle and flow rate of the solar collector. The aim of this thesis is to find effect of this two factor to the collector.the calculation of heat gain and radition falls on the collector is based on experiment value and comparison with the theoretical value was carried out .For the theoretical value the calculation are based on C++ program which has been developed to find hourly radiation. The optimum slope angle is arounn 19-26 during this testing period and the optimum flow rate is around 0.0185kg/s with efficiency around 48%. | |
