Abstract
This study investigates the development and performance analysis of a quadcopter drone designed for parcel delivery, focusing on motor thrust and payload capacity. The project successfully developed a four-motor drone and conducted a series of thrust tests using two motor types: EMAX 195KV and A2212/13T. The experimental setup was meticulously designed to record the payload weight accurately, ensuring the drone could handle a minimum payload of 1 kg efficiently. The analysis highlighted the complexity of drone design, encompassing propulsion systems, energy efficiency, payload capacity, and aerodynamics, which are critical for reliable and effective drone operations in emergency situations. The study's findings demonstrated that both motor types could effectively manage the specified payload, with the EMAX 195KV motors exhibiting superior power efficiency and thrust-to-weight ratio. The A2212/13T motors showed better efficiency at higher remote-control inputs, indicating their potential for applications requiring high efficiency. This research provides valuable insights into the optimal motor configurations for drones used in parcel delivery, emphasizing the importance of precise motor selection and thorough performance testing. These findings contribute to advancing drone technology, particularly for emergency response logistics, by offering a reliable and efficient method for delivering essential supplies in disaster situations.
