dc.description.abstractOptimization of fin using genetic algorithm method is one of the alternative to determine the effectiveness of fin either the shape and also the dimension of fin. From the research, there are some factor that can effect an effectiveness of fin transfering heat to air. Some factor that we can assume are; 1. Shape of the fin 2. Length of fin 3. Width of fin 4. Thickness of fin 5. Material of fin For this case, just 3 factor that view good result. it is 1, 4 and 5. From my research, triangular fin have better performance to transfer heat than rectangular fin. And also fin with low thickness much more better than high thickness. Each material have it own sake and with different canvaction factor. The lowest convaction factor show the best result and have a good effectiveness. For example, aluminium fin were used in air cond and steel fin were used in automobile industries. All these factor effect the effectivenessof a fin.
