dc.description.abstract | The preparation of a layout design is an important process in an organization at the production stage. This process involved a lot of research work in order to get a layout that is up to the organization standard all the activities involved in this process are handled by planning department. Various design procedures are use in order to increase the production in an operation system. With the advances and development layout design can be analyses by using WITNESS simulation without interfering the actual activities by modeling the production operation system. The preparation of designing was done by analyzing operation process through collecting all the data wanted. Reconstruction of the operation system was done according to the WITNESS simulation software without interfering the process and production of the system. The aspect involved in the modeling during operation included the x-ray machine, check-in ticket, baggage handling, truck and loading and unloading of baggage. To in crease the production test to the original model and a few proposal model has been done product from proposal model no. 2 for the departure and arrival operation was selected as the model for layout design because the production process can minimum the time taken and its consumption is optimum compare to datum. WITNESS simulation model can making layout design process easier although these are its withdraws. | |
