A variety of automation techniques and systems have been studied in the effort to design a low-cost automated welding system for a tubular aluminium T-joint. The data findings and expert comments obtained during the exploration of a low-cost automated welding system for a tubular aluminium T-joint provided valuable insights into the feasibility and efficacy of different automation methods. These findings are compared and analysed in relation to previous research or established business standards to determine their alignment or deviation. The collaborative robot (co-bot) system was found to be the best option after rigorous consideration and study for this application. The benefits of robotic automation are combined with the capacity to work closely with human operators in the co-bot system. The tubular aluminium T-joint may be precisely and intricately welded thanks to this cooperative technique, ensuring the best joint alignment and fit-up. The co-bot system is ideally suited for low-cost automation because of its adaptability to changing welding requirements, ease of programming, and flexibility. Overall, the co-bot system combines affordability, accuracy, teamwork, and safety to make it the best choice for the low-cost automated welding system for a tubular aluminium T-joint.
