Abstract
In this work, sand was characterized with the tests that include grain scale, material composition, size distribution, phase identification, coated minerals under microscope which can lead to the suitable option for upgrading coarse silica processing. The 97.9090% or below than 97% can be upgraded up to 99% of silica content in the sand. The demanding of high purity of silica is increase so that the producer of silica has to be excited to increase the production. Studies ought to be attempted to utilize this silica sand for cutting edge applications. Silica sands, with respond to water and weakened sulphuric corrosive in pH 4, both have great potential. In any case, silica sand test which respond to corrosive is the slightest good to be utilized as a part of such applications. The increase of purity in silica which show the perfect method and as long as it could come with size reduction in silica. So that I believed that wet grinding can be suitable suggestion as the method for upgrading of coarse silica for glass making industry.
