Abstract
Every year about two million pilgrims from all over the world perform Hajj in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The area for performing the ritual is small and becomes crowded most of the time. There are many cases where the pilgrims lost their family members in such condition. Besides that, the government of Saudi Arabia government is facing problem to catch and identify illegal pilgrims with expired visas after Hajj and Umrah seasons. Under that condition, the Hajj ministry and the related organizations and companies are looking forward to improve the services and find a suitable solution to overcome the problems in order to make Hajj performing easier and safe. Track King Company established and created P-Track system that works effectively in tracking and locating person which allows monitoring groups of people in an identified area. PTrack system is an RFIO based technology that consists of three main components; the readers, tags and application system. Pilgrims carry a tag containing their information which can be transmitted to the system application by well distributed readers in the monitored area. As a result of this process, the identity and location of the person could be detected from a long distance in short period of time. This system could locate lost pilgrims and people with expired visa. In this dissertation; we will analyze and design P Track by identifying the customer and system requirements needs. The most suitable RFIO and networking technology will be chosen so that P-Track system will be able to identify the location of pilgrims in the Holy Mosque within the range of 3 to 10 feet in the outdoor area in seconds. The target markets for this system are the government agencies and private companies which involves in providing services related to Hajj and Umrah. The projected profits for Track King are RS 1,730,000 for the first year, RS 3,460,000 for the second year and RS 5,190,000 for the third year. The system will be continuously improved based on the advancement in the RFIO technology. In the next stage of the marketing plan, P-Track will be customized to suit other organizations or companies to track object or people such as schools to monitor students or staff, hospitals to monitor patients and inventory tracking.
