dc.description.abstractComputer Aided Geometric Design (CAGD) is a study of mathematical representation of curves. In 60-an, Dr. Pierre Bezier had introduce Bezier curves using polynomial Bernstein. This dissertation will discuss about Bezier curves only. For make sure that this Bezier curves are connected together with continuity, there are two topics will be discuss. First, connection of Bezier curves with parametric continuity and second is connection with geometric continuity. This dissertation also will discuss about rational Bezier curves. We will see how the weight or parameter shape preserving of rational Bezier curves is use for preserve the curves. Analysis shape preserving will be discuss in details where it will show in piecewise rational Bezier curve interpolation. This dissertation also will show how to preserve rational Bezier curves to make sure it always positivity and monotonicity. Shape preserving for curves is important aspect to make sure function is relevant for many application. This dissertation uses the Mathematica software to generate curves.en_US
