Measurement is one of the important for process controlling, quality controlling and equipment verification. Measurement process produces uncertainty which generate from measurement errors. Estimation uncertainty value is necessary as stated in ISO 10012-1 (1992). ISO 9001 (1994) stated that ISO 10012-1 ( 1992) 'may be used as reference' for clause 4.11 but new ISO revision, ISO 9001 (2000) indicated ISO 10012-1 (1992) as a compulsory reference for clause 7.6. The accuracy of calibration process can not be determined without uncertainty estimation. Two guidelines that have been used in development of this uncertainty estimation calculation are 'Guidelines for Estimation and Statement of Overall Uncertainty In Measurement Result' and 'Guidelines for Evaluating and Expressing the Uncertainty of NISI Measurement Results'. But both of the guidance is hardly understood. Thus, this research was conducted to produce uncertainty estimation guideline in more clear and practical approach. This guideline consist with all mathematical formula which involved in uncertainty calculation, whereby it provides an advantage compared to current automatic calculation format. This research will start with the development of a calibration system model. It is important to get a better understanding about the relationship between uncertainty and calibration. The process followed by the design of uncertainty calculation guideline. This guideline also include development of automatic uncertainty calculation format. In this development, we are able to see the relationship between statistic and uncertainty calculation. Finally the researched would involve true calibration data whereby two set of true calibration data will be stored m an automatic uncertainty calculation format that has been developed previously. From these examples, we could clearly see how uncertainty affects the calibration process and explain why uncertainty is important and required in all calibration process.en_US
