dc.description.abstract | The detrimental effects of anxiety on academic performance has been an area of concern for many language educators. In Malaysia, the inclusion of the literature programme i~ the English Language subject aimed to improve students' proficiency in the English language and also to introduce and acquaint the students with other world-views and cultures. The Malaysian Education Ministry also aimed to get students to read more widely through the inclusion of the literature component. The present report delineates a university research project aimed to explore the existence of literature anxiety among Form Four Malaysian secondary school students. | en_US |
