In this research geological discontinuities orientation impact on blasted fragments size distribution have been studied. Although, numerous studies have been conducted on the other effect of blasting so far, but none of them have paid attention to the dip angle and dip direction difference of orientation impact on the blasted fragmentation. In this case, Lafarge Kanthan quarry has been chosen as the study area where the quarry is the formation of limestone. Geological mapping was done at the bench blasting site before blasting to obtain the discontinuities orientation at blast site. Then, the data from geological mapping is analyse by Rocscience Dips 6.0 to identify the dominant discontinuities. After the blast, the muckpile photo are taken and were analysed by using Wipfrag image analysis software. The size distribution of the rock passing were obtain from the Wipfrag software. Next, all the result from the Wipfrag is analysed and compared with their orientation to find the relationship between size of fragments and geological discontinuities orientation. It is found that the different in orientation give affect towards fragmentation of rock.en_US
