Abstract
Poly(Glycidyl Methacrylate) (PGMA) particles were fabricate with different Polyvinyl
Pyrrolidone (PVP K-30) concentrations (1%, 3%, 5% and 7%) as catalyst. In this work,
PVP K-30 was reacted with Glycidyl Methacrylate (GMA) and Benzoyl Peroxide (BPO)
to form PGMA particles. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) was used to analyze the
morphology of PGMA particles with different PVP concentration at different
magnification. Besides, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) was used to
analyze chemical structure of PGMA particles with different PVP concentration. The size
distribution of PGMA particles was analyzed using laser diffraction using Particle Size
Analyzer (Sympatec Rodos). PGMA particles with different PVP K-30 content shows
microsphere behavior but not fully monodisperse among particle. The diameter of PGMA
particle with different PVP concentration was decreased with increasing of PVP
concentration.
