Abstract
Malaysia is a developing country - developing towards modernization. In the context of its development, rapid changes occur, not only on its physical structures, but also on the ways of living of its people. It also changes the system of education in order to meet the changing needs of the nation, whilst the society is not yet prepared to face the changes. The effects of these changes bring many problems. Examples of such problems are; school drop-outs, truancy among school children, juvenile dilinquency and drug-abuse. All these are social problems, which in a way or another, have been connected to school children. However, there had been very little or none at all being mentioned about the social problems faced by school children. So far, there had been no study done on the problems faced by pupils or students of this country. Thus it is for this reason that this study was conducted, that is, as an attempt to find out some of the social problems faced by school children.
