dc.description.abstract	This paper work discussed about the characteristics of basis function, definition of curves and surfaces and also the comparisons between five types of curves which are Bezier, Wang-Ball, Said-Ball, NBl and Dejdumrong in the application of curves and surfaces generation. The comparison was done for the generation of fonts and vase with different degrees. The results of this study found that ,Bezier curve is the curve that is nearest to the control polygon as compared to the other curves. On the other hand, Dejdumrong curve was seen as the curve which mimics Bezier curve the most. Moreover, Wang-Ball curve was known as the curve most far from control polygon. Besides that, NB 1 curve was found to be the curve second far from control polygon and shared the same characteristics of Wang-Ball curve for degree four and five because it has similar equations. Lastly, Said-Ball is unique because this curve is not far or close to the control polygon and has no equations similar to any other curves.	en_US
