Abstract
In this study, numerical solutions are presented for mixed convection boundary layer
flow from a vertical truncated cone in a porous medium with variable viscosity. The
governing boundary layer equations are first transformed into non-dimensional
equations. The obtained equations are solved numerically using Shooting method in
Maple software. The obtained results are the skin friction coefficient, the Nusselt
number, the velocity and temperature profiles. The results shown that the skin
friction coefficient and the Nusselt number decrease as the viscosity variation
parameter decreases. It is also shown that the temperature profiles and thickness of
thermal boundary layer decrease as the viscosity variation parameter increases.
