Repeated punching process of sheet metal will lead to wear. Wear can be influenced by material and thickness of blank, die clearance, puncher design and many more. In this work, wear assessment of the punching tool were perform on a puncher by analyzing the wear pattern on its surface. A set of punching tool was designed and fabricated to fit on the puncher and die for holes fabrication. The parameter were studied is the punch diameter. The hole was produce on mild steel. The wear on the edge of puncher was analyzed after 500 strokes. Area of wear on the edge was examining using open source software namely UVC PC Camera and ImageJ software. The pattern in terms of wear area was compared with the initial puncher. The variance area of wear was affected by the parameters of diameters of puncher.en_US
