The objective of this dissertation is to develop a simple step-by-stel hypothesis testing procedure for the manufacturing industry. Manufacturing will fin< it helpful as they can easily apply it without further understanding the complexity 0 the statistical equations, theorems and others. Further, with the print screen fron the Minitab software plus the output interpretation from the software, the industrie~ only required following through all of the steps and interpreting the results from thE . Minitab output. This is less time consuming. A case study is also included in this dissertation to illustrate the simple stepby- step hypothesis testing procedure to find out whether the new proposed packing box is compatible compared to the current material, before accepting it for mass production. The results of the case study show that the new proposed packing box could be accepted, as there is not enough evidence to reject the null hypothesisen_US
