dc.description.abstractStudies on aquatic insects and public awarenessat recreational rivers have been carried out intensively to understand the impact of human recreational activities on these aspects. A total of six rivers (Batu Hampar, Titi Hayun, Bukit Hijau, and Sedim in Kedah, Bukit Mertajam and Teluk Bahang in Penang) have been selected. Insect samplings and questionnaires survey were conducted simultaneously for three school holiday seasons in Malaysia, from May 2014 to April 2015.en_US
