dc.description.abstract	Survey has been the most important tools in data collecting for research fields such as social sciences, politics and education. Statistical analyses interpret and generate survey data into important, meaningful and useful information for the researcher and the society as a whole. However, there is not a fixed way to analyse a survey research. This is because the measurement scales of a survey data differ from one another. This research examines the statistical tools commonly used by researchers in the past. Discussions are focus on the descriptive and explanatory analysis of different types of survey data. Descriptive analysis explains the trend of data distribution by taking into consideration the frequency, percentage, measurement of central tendency, dispersion and shape of distribution. Explanatory analysis explains the relationship and correlation between variables. The important aspects in explanatory analysis are the measuring of association between variables and the modeling by parameter estimation, hypotheses testing and goodness of fit of the model.	en_US
