Sample of pegmatite rock obtained from Bukit Mor, Johor has been studied for froth flotation process. Froth flotation of feldspar is one of the most important methods to obtain high recovery of feldspar in the ceramic and glass industries. Very good separations of feldspar from the other gangue minerals such as quartz, iron, silica, and tourmaline need to be done. The characterization of feldspar from pegmatite rock is done by microscopy study. In this study, fundamental flotation chemistry is done for pegmatite rock using Flotation Denver Cell based on certain parameters. The optimum value for each parameter such as effect of dosage of collector, pH and percent of solid has been identifying. Based on the result obtained, it showed that the effect of dosage, 400 g/t of collector has the maximum recovery. The optimum recovery of feldspar flotation was at pH 2. It showed that feldspar can be floated at acidic state because of combined cationic-anionic collector was used that is -tallow 1,3-propanediamine-dioleate (duomeen TDO). The result point out to be good at the 20 % of solid for feldspar to float. At this percents of solid, feldspar flotation has obtained the highest recovery.en_US
