dc.description.abstract | This project introduces design of a 2.4GHz wireless transmitter using Quadrature Phase-Shift Keying (QPSK) modulation technique, where QPSK is the most popular digital modulation technique used for satellite and digital cellular mobile communications. The design of 2.4GHz wireless transmitter concentrates on hardware design using OrCAD software where it consists of four parts of designs which are Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC), a current amplifier for DAC, I-Q Modulator and Power Amplifier. This project includes the architecture design of wireless transmitter, simulation of the entire design involved, design and fabrication of the circuit on Printed Circuit Board (PCB), and measurement and analysis on the PCB Layout of the circuit. The wireless transmitter implementation on PCB is completed, along with the simulation results with regards to the performance and complexity associated with such a flexible implementation. The obtained overall performance of the wireless transmitter using Advanced Design System (ADS) software is analyzed, along with the flexibility of the software approach, which makes 2.4GHz wireless transmitter implementation effective for several applications with rapid communications, where state of the art performance, size and weights are critical aspects with respect to hardware complexity or cost. | |
