Abstract
This project aims to improve wireless power transfer (WPT) capabilities by creating a closed-loop DC-DC buck converter for the WPT system. This project leverages the simulation capabilities of MATLAB Simulink and the hardware development environment provided by the Arduino IDE to enhance the efficiency of power transmission. The main goal is to enhance power transmission efficiency by regulating the output voltage of the buck converter circuit. The research covers various areas, including developing a suitable DC-DC converter for WPT system. This project also conducts the design and analysis of both open-loop and closed-loop buck converters, with a particular emphasis on developing effective compensators for feedback control. These compensators enable precise output voltage regulation, which is crucial for wireless power transfer applications. This project also explores ways to overcome WPT limitations, investigating the use of notch filters and phase lag compensators to filter resonance frequency and improve system performance. In results and discussions, the project analyzes the transfer function and bode plot of the buck converter. This analysis highlights the necessity for a controller with improved stability and control to achieve optimal performance. The findings from these investigations provide valuable insights into the behavior and characteristics of the system, guiding future enhancements and refinements.
