dc.description.abstract | Emerging technologies such as Bluetooth and 802.11b (Wi-Fi) have fuelled the growth of the short-range communication industry. Bluetooth, the leading WPAN (wireless personal are network) technology, was designed primarily for cable replacement applications. With the growing importance of the Bluetooth in our daily life, it is important to develop an understanding of the performance of the system. With the knowledge and understanding on Bluetooth system can be useful for future improvements. The main issue of this thesis is to make a study about Bluetooth system including the basic rate and the Enhanced Data Rate, EDR models. In this project, I am focusing on the 8dpsk model where the 8DPSK model was built and simulated. The 8DPSK digital modulation and demodulation were implemented in ADS (Advanced Design System). The Bit Error Rate, BER was tested to evaluate the demodulation results. From the simulation results, the receiver filter, synchronization and channel conditions were three key points in the Bluetooth EDR system. | |
