This thesis describes the design of a two stage broadband low noise amplifier (LNA) using GaAs technology. It also covers the design, results, discussions and also conclusion of this project. The amplifier is used common source configuration with total gate of 900mm. Shunt or parallel feedback also has been connected between source and gate to obtain input matching and flat broadband response. Matching element also used at the output to help to achieve specified goals. The design is simulated to obtain the frequency range from 1 GHz to 13 GHz. In the frequency range of operation, the gain is 17.83 dB, the achieved minimum noise figure is 2.78 dB at 5.9 GHz and also drain current obtained is 46 mA. The circuit also is in unconditionally stable.
