Abstract
Pain is prevalent and debilitating in cancer patients, particularly at advanced stages. Palliative care is vital in effectively managing various symptoms, including pain, in cancer patients, with the goal of enhancing their comfort and quality of life. However, local data in Malaysia on pain control among cancer patients in the palliative care setting is limited. This study aimed to determine the prevalence and factors associated with severe pain and inadequate pain treatment, satisfaction with pain treatment, and quality of life (QoL) among cancer patients receiving palliative care in Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.
