This paper present the study of infiltration, permeability and soil classification for zone BW1, BW2, BW3, BW4, BW5 and BW6 in order to develop an infiltration map for Butterworth. Infiltration into the soil matrix is formally divided into two components: (1) Vertical infiltration into soil surface; and (2) Lateral infiltration via hole in soil. Soil classification using Unified Soil Classification System shows the types of soil and groups of soil. Double Ring Infiltrometer and Falling head permeability test are the test that has done in this case study. This data is important for the planning of urbanization. The study of soil classification and their coefficient in infiltration and permeability give answer to many questions during planning urbanization. The soil classification can be major tool in Urban Drainage Planning to identify the applicability of infiltration system in a new developed urban area. This data also help improve in prevention of flood due to urbanization effect also among the benefits that can be found from this study.
