dc.description.abstractIn response to the growing demand for effective carbon capture technologies, this study investigates the synthesis and characterization of ferrite–based oxides solid adsorbents prepared using a facile sol-gel method. The primary aim is to enhance the adsorption capacity, reusability and structural properties of the adsorbent. Besides, ternary and quaternary ferrite–based oxides have seen limited exploration in the field of carbon capture, largely due to the prevalence of studies focusing on simpler single metal oxides. These complex multi-metal systems offer the potential for enhanced CO2 adsorption properties yet remain underutilized. In this study, inverse spinel ferrite along with M-type and W-type hexaferrite adsorbents, were successfully synthesized using low-cost, facile and efficient method.
