Abstract
Almost everything around us is using Lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery cell to operate, including mobile phones, laptop computers, digital cameras, and a variety of
other electronic gadgets that need DC current. Today, the increasing temperature forcing us to change from using coal and petrol as energy source to renewable energy makes the battery industry need to increase the efficiency and performance of their battery more than we had few years back. We require batteries that are more reliable and operate at a higher level due to larger applications. With such high demands, the battery performance must be improved in the battery management system in order to offer the full potential of the battery cell. A few approaches have been developed to monitor battery performance by forecasting the State-of-Health (SoH) of the battery, which is typically influenced by the rate of battery capacity. For batteries used in electric vehicles, feasible SoH estimate methods based on observable factors such as voltage, current, time, and temperature are required. Because the lithium-ion battery ages with each charge-and-discharge cycle, the loss in the value of battery capacity and temperature resulted in a decrease in the percentage of SoH. The number of cycles of use increase as time goes on, the number of capacities for Li-ion battery cell decrease.
