| dc.description.abstract | The dynamic nature of the solid-state drive (SSD) market necessitates adaptable manufacturing processes to accommodate rapid design changes. To address this challenge, Western Digital (WD) has embarked on developing an enhanced auto sizing pallet system. This project focuses on miniaturizing, increasing precision, integrating wireless control, and incorporating image processing into the system. By optimizing spatial utilization, enhancing portability, and improving precision, the system aims to facilitate rapid pallet adjustments for varying PCB sizes. Image processing technology automates pallet dimension determination, while wireless control enables remote monitoring and management. Initial testing demonstrates significant improvements in production efficiency and adaptability. The enhanced auto-sizing pallet system is poised to revolutionize SSD manufacturing at WD by enabling swift response to market demands and optimizing resource utilization. | |
