Tourists tend to experience travel content through vlogs prior to undertaking real travel. However, the growing demand for personalized and diversified content has exceeded what standardized professional work and the large volume of user-created material provide. There is a lack of research on what and how elements compose a travel vlog that can arouse viewers visit intention from the perspective of storytelling. In response to this, the current study has developed a theoretical framework by integrating storytelling elements, narrative transportation, destination image and travel intention, based on Narrative Transportation Theory, Consumer Storytelling Theory and Destination Image Formation Theory.
