| dc.description.abstract | Grounding system is important system to protect the overall system facility and to protect people from any hazardous condition. Bad and ineffective grounding system can cause damage of properties, badly injury and also the death. Due to importance of the grounding system, this thesis would like to discuss about detail about the grounding’s requirement and determine the grounding system for high rise building. There was a lot of factor that should be considered in designing a good grounding system, so in this project, it will decide the suitable grounding system for high rise building according the condition. Some important condition should be considered like lightning stoke threat and unwanted ground fault. So, lightning protection system and grounding system should be installing to high rise building. Beside that, it also must make sure that the grounding system reaches the requirement of NEC Article 250 and IEEE Standard. | |
