dc.description.abstract | Animal repellent is a device designed to deter animals from a particular area. Animal repellents are commonly used in gardens, farms, and other outdoor areas where unwanted animals can cause damage to crop or other property. This device generates sound with a specified frequency which creates a repellent and noisy climate that is unpleasant to the animals. The aim of this project is to repel monkeys from entering the area without harming them. In this project, monkeys are the primary animal to be selected as the target to be driven away. The ultrasonic sound that ranges more than 20kHz will be used in this project to repel the monkeys because it is inaudible to the human ear. The eardrums of humans will not vibrate rapidly, while most insects and animals can listen to this ultrasonic sound effectively. The proposed system uses Arduino Uno as the microcontroller, a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor to detect the presence of monkeys, a buzzer transducer to create the ultrasonic sound, and Light-emitting Diode (LED) to frighten the monkeys. At the end of this project, the effectiveness of this animal repellent will be evaluated to meet the specific requirements and for future improvements | |
