dc.description.abstractThis project is to develop a mobile phone application (app) with the title of “Ambulance Calling System”. The aim of this project is to design a system that could improve the quality of emergency ambulance service, or commonly known as Emergency Medical Service (EMS). To accomplish the purpose stated, “Ambulance Calling System” will be developed using Android Studio software, which is one of the most used mobile apps developing software, together with Firebase database, which is an online cloud storage platform, to store all the user data and information securely on the internet. Besides that, Google Map Platform was also implemented in this project to provide a location tracking and map navigation function for the ambulance to reach to the patient side, with a high location targeting accuracy. Overall, the “Ambulance Calling System” developed will have an easy-to-understand graphical user interface (GUI), where user can use the app easily. The user data security will also be highly protected as it is saved in the Firebase database. This app could provide good functionality for any emergency that happened as users can directly share their location to the ambulance service provider, and effectively reduce the communication time between both patient and ambulance side.
