Infant milk formulae are used as breast milk substitutes whereby the moisture content determination is crucial and important to prevent the infection via foodbome pathogenic bacteria. Water or moisture content in milk powder can affect product quality, texture, shelflife, chemical stability, reactivity of foodstuffs and increase the microorganism activity in infant milk formulae. In this work, moisture content analysis of the two infant milk formulae labelled as the samples A and B which stored in different household conditions and packaging materials have successfully been conducted using Karl Fischer (KF) titration technique. Throughout the work, the samples were analysed during freshly open, after one week, and after two weeks stored in different household conditions at different temperatures and storage packaging materials. The finding shows that there are significant changes on moisture content of the samples when stored in different household conditions at different temperatures and packaging materials. The longer the storage time, the higher the moisture content in infant milk formula. The results show that the most suitable household storing condition to store the infant milk formula is in the refrigerator where infant milk was put in closed storage container. The most suitable type of storing packaging material is in glass bottle.
