Abstract
This research was conducted to explore how emergency remote teaching (ert) helped the literature lecturers in conducting the teaching-learning process in the literature classroom with the help of technology. After the movement control order (mco) was announced to reduce the spread of the virus, lecturers had to teach literature outside of the classroom. Apart from network issues, no exposure in remote teaching, adapting to the literature syllabus and lack of ict skills have become obstacles for lecturers in carrying out the emergency remote teaching (ert). With this, the research questions were focused on three aspects focusing on the emergency remote teaching (ert), literature syllabus and the integration of technology. Since literature was a limited course in the higher institution, nine literature lecturers from three public universities were chosen to participate in this study. A qualitative study that involves a virtual interview session through the zoom platform was used to gain information about emergency remote teaching (ert) in this study. As indicated by the gathered data, the findings showed that the literature lecturers were able to adapt to the emergency remote teaching (ert). Despite encountering some obstacles, technology has helped lecturers in exploring many educational applications. Hybrid learning and flipped classroom were suggested in this study for improvement
