dc.description.abstract | Blockage of drainage system and irrigation system brings many issues and slows the urbanization and development of a country. Covered drainage system at residential area at Malaysia need to be cleaned to prevent the chain reactions. Thus, this thesis presents the design and development of an automatic drain cleaning robot. The drain cleaning robot is divided into three parts which are mechanical design, electronic system, and user interface. The drain cleaning robot has cleaning mechanism to collect different size of blockage and deposits in the drain. The automatic system allows the robot makes correction to prevent crash and malfunction. Safety features are added using ultrasonic sensor and limit switch to prevent crashes. Web User Interface (UI) is designed using ESP32 for monitoring and control the drain cleaning robot. The developed drain cleaning robot cannot perform perfectly but suggestions are given for improvements. The reasons of drain cleaning robot failed to perform is analysed and discussed. | |
