Abstract
Electricity is essential in everyday life as it is the source of energy for electrical devices, appliances, and machines in the modern world. Appropriate usage and monitoring of electricity are vital to ensure no energy wastage. Over the years, electricity and power monitoring systems have been researched to improve their control and monitoring interfaces. Nevertheless, the present system utilized still lacks user control and IoT interfaces as it does not provide the capability for remote monitoring. In response, this study will propose and develop an IoT-based power analyzer. The purpose of the system is to monitor and analyze electricity and power usage using microcontroller and IoT approaches. The proposed design configuration is developed using microcontrollers such as Arduino UNO, NodeMCU ESP32, and instrument transformers that act as voltage and current sensors. ZMPT101B AC Voltage Sensor Module (potential transformer) 0 250VAC is utilized to measure the voltage reading. Meanwhile, SCT-013-030 Non-invasive AC Current Sensor (current transformer) 0-30A is utilized to measure the current flow. The power analyzer system will be connected to IoT devices such as smartphones via Wi-Fi. These IoT interfaces are connected using the Blynk IoT servers. Through IoT connection, users can monitor their power consumption dynamically and statistically in real-time.
