| dc.description.abstract | The study focuses on the design, development, and fabrication of a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) tailored for underwater inspection applications. The ROV aims to enhance the efficiency and safety of underwater inspections by providing a robust and versatile tool for various industries, including oil and gas, marine biology, and underwater archaeology. The project addresses the limitations of current ROV technology, particularly the need for improved visual feedback and operational precision. The research encompasses the historical evolution of ROVs, highlighting significant technological advancements that have expanded their capabilities. Key features of the developed ROV include the integration of First Person View (FPV) technology for real-time visual feedback, a sophisticated control system, and a reliable propulsion mechanism. The ROV's design leverages materials such as PVC, steel bars, stainless steel, and acrylic, ensuring durability and performance in harsh underwater environments. Experimental procedures involved rigorous testing of the ROV's components, including leakage, motor functionality, and camera performance. The results demonstrated the ROV's effective operation, with successful implementation of FPV technology enhancing the pilot's situational awareness and control accuracy. The study concludes with recommendations for future research, focusing on advancing ROV autonomy, sensor capabilities, and design optimization to further improve underwater inspection efficiency and reliability. | |
