Abstract
In response to global economic, environmental, and social catastrophes, businesses are seeking effective and efficient means to minimize their significant impacts. While various theoretical foundations highlight the importance of sustainability, the sustainable performance of technology-based smes remains underexplored. Therefore, this research seeks to examine the drivers and outcome of sustainable practices to mitigate economic crisis, environment degradation, and social injustice. In particular, the strategic, (green innovation strategy), resource, (green intellectual capital), and management (green human resource management) level factors are presumed to drive the green innovation. These factors will in turn influence sustainable performance. Drawing on nrbv and doei theory, a theoretical framework had been developed and analysed using 283 respondents among chinese technology-based smes. The findings reveal that green innovation strategy, green human capital, green structural capital and green human resource management are the key drivers of green innovation. Meanwhile, green relational capital is found to be not a significant factor that influences green innovation. Additionally, green innovation is discovered to have positive effect on economic, environmental and social performance.
