Abstract
Soft voice disorder is one of the common voice disorder. This voice disorder can hold back one from having a good communication with people. The situation become critical if the person is inside the room and there is people outside knocking his/her door. Communication problem will occur as the one outside unable to hear clearly whether the person inside is answering or not. Thus, there is a need for developing a communication medium that able to assist the soft voice user. This project focuses on people with delicate voice who are working in an office room, people at home and also at other sites. Investigation is done to design a communication system for people who are having this voice disorder to communicate clearly with people outside room or house. A half-duplex communication system is designed in this project. This communication system can send and receive signals by using only one electromagnetic wave frequency but not simultaneously. Therefore, two transceiver circuits are designed and built as it contains a transmitter and a receiver in the same circuit. A charger circuit is built in order for the half-duplex communication system to operate for longer hours. This charger system will continuously supply power to the primary transceiver circuit and charge rechargeable batteries. The rechargeable batteries are used for the secondary transceiver circuit. As an outcome, one transceiver is installed on a table inside the room and another one is fixed on the door outside the room. User will be able to communicate from inside the room. By owning this communication system, people with a soft voice disorder do not have to worry and regret about their inability to speak louder and clearer to the other person in such situation.
