dc.description.abstractThis study attempts to analyse the Factors that contribute to Job Satisfaction amongst the Senior and Junior Police Officers in the Royal Malaysia Police Force (PDRM). The model uses the motivator and hygiene factors. Four of the motivators (achievement, advancement, recognition, and responsibility) and four hygienes ( salary, Interpersonal relation, supervision and working condition). It addition to it another six moderators namely: age, race, marital status, educational background, income, and tenure of service are included to see whether they have any effects on Job Satisfaction or otherwise. The study was carried out through stratified random sampling of the samples from the Kuala Lumpur Police Offic~ ers. The variables used are measured through the use of structured closed ended questionnaire modified from Job Descriptive Index (JDI) and using Likert scale of measurement. Statistical techique of regression, ANOVA and t-test were used to examine the variables and Job Satisfaction.' The result indicated that the model was significant, however only three motivating factors, namely; achievement, recognition and responsibility were found to be significant. The study concludes with some comments on the implication of the finding which is of use to the management of personnel in PDRM.en_US
