| dc.description.abstract | The problem of delayed completion of projects and subsequently in getting Certificate of Occupancy for government projects, especially PERDA , has become a serious issue.Many projects failed to be completed as scheduled and termination of contracts had to be exercised. Perda's objektive in developing, encouraging and upgrading the rural.areas, in terms of physical development and social economic for Bumiputras will be affected due to the delays of these projects. The most affected party is the buyers who are from the lower group.Delays of these projects would result to buyers having to bear extra financial expanses such as house rental and housing loans. Based on the severity of the above situation, a research is conducted on 10 Perda Projects which were substantially delayed from the original contract penod . Initial stage of this study is by identifying the reasons and problems that have caused these delays,and also the parties contributing to the delays.Method of research is conducted by disturbing questionaires and conduct interviews with all parties involved in the proj_ects. The case study is focused on the roles ofPerda ,consultants ,contractors and local authorities in executing the projects,from the initial strages throughout completion .Apart from reference sources such magazines, journals,educational articles, paperworks, reports and minutes of site meetings are reffered. | en_US |
