dc.description.abstractThis research was carried out to investigate the interconnectedness of variables related to psychological qualities of gifted students which involves moral intelligence, leadership skills and achievement motivation. The discussion in the study is based on combination of several theories; great man theory, trait, situational, relationship, Martin's, implicit and self-attributed motives, the hierarchal model of achievement motivation, achievement goals and attitudes and self-worth achievement motivation theory. A total of 122 respondents were involved in the quantitative study comprising of male gifted students. For the qualitative part, 12 male teachers of gifted students participated in the study. The instruments used in this research were questionnaire and interview. Overall result from MANOVA shows that there are significant differences for the 13, 14 and 15 years old of middle schools' gifted students with scores of empathy (p value=.030), self-control (p value =.010) and tolerance (p value= .044). Result from ANOVA shows that, Leadership skill was significantly different between the 13, 14 and 15 years old of middle schools' gifted students (p value=0.10). The 15 years old (M=176.24) had the highest mean followed by 14 years old (M=164.95) and 13 years old (M=174.98). Result from Kruskal Wallis shows the difference in self-efficacy (p=.632), achievement motivation (p=.197) and overall score of moral intelligence in the 13, 14 and 15 years old of middle schools' gifted students.en_US
